Yard Work

Finally getting some scenery work done on the yard. The earth is real, dug out from the garden and baked in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes to kill all the micro-critters. I weather my tracks in place, with a coat of rust colour on the rail webs and a coat of engine black down the center and to the sides of the rails. I find that doing it this way gives a build-up of paint on the ties that nicely matches the prototype.
