Shapiro's Menswear

Another scene from the diorama, Shapiro's Menswear on Filing Cabinet Ave! Another DPM kit, of which I'm a big fan. They really get the architectural details right, although I could do without all the sprue bits inside the windows.

I had great fun detailing the window displays of this shop, with a some hats mounted on straight pins (two Preiser figures sacrificed their heads for the cause), some shirts made of paper, ties which are simply lines of paint, and the two mannikins in the right window - Scenemaster people cut in half. I used them because they don't have the detail of the Preisers, so they work well as mannikins.

To me, nothing says the 1950s better than a menswear shop like this one.
