Swanky Couple

This is a scene from the first diorama I made, all of which is being incorporated into the layout. The couple are heading into their apartment for a quick change before heading out to an equally swanky nightclub for the evening. In the background, a local freight rumbles by. The sky is a digital addition.

A funny thing about skies and how much they add to our models. When I built the diorama I was dismayed that everything seemed to be brown and dull. Brown bricks, dull green doors and vegetation, brown earth, grey sidewalks and streets. Although everything was the "right" colour, it didn't look right . But later, when I added a backdrop, suddenly all my models came to life. It was the blue sky that was missing!
